Miscellaneous

Katie is in a definite teasing stage. She loves to hand you something, then pull it away and smile. She also understands the humor in us teasing her. She knows that if I put something on my head, it is a joke. She is just so smart. It amazes me that she comprehends so much already. She isn't quite a year yet. (Just really, really close). She will be a year in 27 days from today.

[On a side note, apparently this program saves the day and time you start the post, and then when it is posted to the internet for everyone to see, is shows the original time stamp. I'm actually writing this on May 2.]

She loves to have books read to her. She likes sitting on my lap just listening and watching. She also likes to turn the pages herself, and sometimes she will just hand you the book, and then kind of bounce with excitement when she sees you are really going to read to her. I guess I don't just sit down and play with her enough, if she gets that excited.
Another thing she likes to do is go throughout the house, and point at every picture and doorknob, and light switch, and window, and everything. She especially loves to crawl down the hall towards the computer room, and when she gets within sight of the monitor, she gives a yelp of excitement and scurries even faster towards the room. We have pictures of her and our families on the screen saver, and she loves to sit on my lap and have me tell her who everyone is.
