Cooing and Smiling

This is a video of Elayna cooing and smiling at me. It is absolutely amazing to watch her grow. When she was born, she could barely keep her eyes open. Now, just 2 months later, she is cooing and smiling; trying to carry on a conversation already.




Her 2 month doctor's visit was October 10th. She weighs 13 lbs, is 22.5 inches long, and in the 75th percentile for her head, weight, and height.

I'm not sure what Katie was at 2 months, but I found her 4 month stats. She was 13 lbs 6 oz, and 25.5 inches long.

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend. I got my hair cut Saturday morning, then Saturday afternoon we had a Halloween party at my parent's house.

Katie was a Care Bear,

 

and Elayna was a bunny rabbit.

 

Then, Sunday was Elayna's blessing. Ryan gave her a beautiful blessing, and we had dinner at my parent's house afterwards. We wanted to have it at our home, on our new patio, but it was too cold.

 

 

Here you can see my haircut, kinda. The girls both got new dresses for the occasion.

Katie has been sleeping in her bed for quite a while now. Imagine my surprise when I heard her yelling for me in the middle of the night. I went in, and found her on the floor. She looked up at me, puzzled, and said, "Hurt. Ow." I asked her if she fell off the bed, and she said yes. I held her and I think she was asleep before I left the room.

Katie wanted me to do her hair in "2!,4!,6!!!" Apparently that means "a lot". Then I tried to take a picture of her, but she decided that she wanted to hold (play with) the camera, and I wouldn't let her, so...

She threw a fit.

 

Then, tried to run a way.

 

Then decided she would be nice to me and maybe I would let her take a picture by herself. No such luck.

 

On a different, more positive note, these girls just love each other. Katie is really into putting pillows on the floor, placing her "babies" on them, and covering them up with blankets. Elayna falls into the same category as stuffed animals and dolls, I guess. They are so much fun.
