Walking? Sort of....

On Tuesday, my Dad had a concert (he's in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir) at the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City. My Mom, and Ryan and I went. The music was really good, as always. We got to tour the tunnels that run under the Tabernacle and Conference Center, and we got to see the dressing rooms, and recording studios and all sorts of cool things. Of course, when we got back to the Bowman's house to pick up Katie, she had walked 4-5 steps for them. Mom says she has walked for her also. If Ryan and I really coax her and put things in her hands, she might walk for us, but she doesn't seem too interested.

Of course, if my Dad tries to get her to walk, she throws a fit. Collapses to the floor, throws her hands down, and kisses or bites the floor. We aren't quite sure if it is biting or kissing, or why she does it. It is sure dang cute though.



Last night, Irma, Gillian, Clarissa and I had a girls night. Jonathan, Matthew and Jerry hiked up Mount Nebo, and Ryan Peterson was working, and my Ryan was hiding in his office, so we just talked and ate pizza, grapes, cherries, and brownies. Irma had had a long day, so she left at about 9:30 or so, but Gillian, Clarissa and I stayed up until 1:00 AM talking. It was really fun. I'm so grateful I have such fun and interesting sisters-in-laws.

Apparently I wasn't in a very good mood today, because as Ryan, Katie, and I were leaving my parent's house, my Mom mentioned that I should probably get enough sleep tonight. That's her nice way of saying, "You were pretty ornery today." She also mentioned that I am usually positive, but I wasn't today.

I was thinking about it later though, and surprisingly enough, I think I am usually positive. A couple of years ago, I really don't think that could have been said of me. It was pretty brave of Ryan to marry me the way I was. I don't think I really knew who I was, or how to act pleasant, or how to be happy most of the time. Thankfully he looked past all that and married me anyways. I'm so grateful for him, and for Katie. My life is so fabulously wonderful right now. I have so many blessings from the Lord, and Joy is the prominent emotion in my life. (Except of course when I don't get enough sleep, and I'm remembering what it is really like to be a woman, and not pregnant or nursing.) Life is good.
